Curatorial Commentary

Ms. Seltzer passed away on October 6, 2006, less than nine months after this interview was recorded. In addition to this recording, she is a featured speaker in the Legacy film that has been part of The Sixth Floor exhibit since 1989. Seltzer was one of several individuals interviewed for the film in Dealey Plaza on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Kennedy assassination on November 22, 1988.

At the time of this 2006 oral history, Ms. Seltzer donated to the Museum her extensive collection of peace movement memorabilia, including buttons, bumper stickers, and other materials.  Following Seltzer's death later that year, her daughter donated to the Museum a portion of her mother's extensive library on history, politics, and social activism. - Stephen Fagin, Associate Curator
