DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows President and Mrs. Kennedy walking through a crowd of journalists toward people gathered at the fence line at Love Field on the morning of November 22, 1963. The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Love Field that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. It is not known which of the three took these pictures.
Curatorial Commentary
The photographer behind the 16mm camera is Bob Welch of WBAP-TV/Channel 5, the NBC affiliate for the Fort Worth-Dallas area.  Welch was the only TV news photographer using sound film equipment at Love Field. - Gary Mack, Curator
