DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with David Margolick. A longtime contributing editor at Vanity Fair and a former New York Times reporter, Margolick is the author of The Promise and the Dream: The Untold Story of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy (2018). He was eleven years old at the time of the Kennedy assassination in 1963. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, TX on June 4, 2018, by Curator Stephen Fagin. The interview is 1 hour and 1 minute long.
Curatorial Commentary
As of June 2018, Margolick is the author of eight diverse books. Other topics that he has covered include a history of the poem-turned-Billie Holiday 1939 song, "Strange Fruit," the heavyweight boxing rivalry between African American Joe Louis and Nazi German hero Max Schmeling and the family battle over the Johnson & Johnson company fortune.
