Curatorial Commentary
Object featured in special exhibition, Two Days in Texas, November 8, 2023 through September 8, 2024.
A number of roughly handwritten cardboard signs, often referencing "Grass Roots Democrats" in some form, were freely distributed by local college students to the crowd gathered along the fence at Dallas Love Field on November 22, 1963. The Museum has one original example in our Collection, saved by Love Field spectator Jan Sittel: https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/56406. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
