DescriptionVideotaped community conversation program entitled "Civil Rights in Dallas" featuring local civil rights activists Ernest McMillan and Marvin Crenshaw. The panel discussion was moderated by Robert Edison, Curator of Education at the Dallas African American Museum, with an introduction by Dr. Marvin Dulaney, Acting Deputy Director of the Dallas African American Museum. Public program recorded at and in partnership with the Dallas African American Museum on December 3, 2022. The program is one hour and thirty minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
This program, recorded at and in partnership with the Dallas African American Museum, was part of a series of community conversations in support of the traveling exhibition, Solidarity Now! The 1968 Poor People's Campaign. Organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the exhibit ran at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza from August 13, 2022 to February 26, 2023. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator 

A longtime friend of The Sixth Floor Museum, activist Ernest McMillan has participated in a number of public and educational programs over the years. He also recorded oral history interviews in 2006 and 2019.
