Curator's Notes

In 1964, Sam Clinton was legal counsel to the Texas Civil Liberties Union when he joined with attorney Elmer Gertz, Sol Dann and Phil Burleson to reverse Jack Ruby's conviction for killing Lee Harvey Oswald.  The man leaning over Clinton and Ruby is WBAP-TV reporter James Kerr. - Gary Mack, Curator
