DescriptionColor photo of a flower arrangement hanging on the door to Trauma Room 1 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in memory of President Kennedy on the second anniversary of the assassination in 1965. The photographer, Claire Campbell, was a nurse at Parkland. On the back of the photograph is a white label with black text printed on it that reads: "#6 Parkland Emergency Room in which President Kennedy died Nov. 22, 1963."
Curatorial Commentary
In the years after the Kennedy assassination, memorial wreaths were traditionally hung on the door to Trauma Room One to mark the anniversary. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
