After a sixteen-year stint at The Dallas Morning News, McKnight joined the rival Dallas newspaper, the Dallas Times Herald, in 1957. There he finished out his distinguished career, retiring in 1988. Prior to the Kennedy assassination, he was one of only ten U.S. newspaper editors to tour the Soviet Union in 1962 and interview Premier Nikita Khrushchev. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator","Felix McKnight wrote a letter to his staff at the Dallas Times Herald at the end of the day on November 22, 1963, recognizing their exemplary work at such a difficult time.
