DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Paula Schlinger. A ten-year-old Dallas schoolgirl in 1963, Schlinger observed the Kennedy motorcade with her mother while her father attended the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon. Interview conducted at Ms. Schlinger's office on July 5, 1995 by Bob Porter. The interview is forty minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Paula Schlinger's late mother, Norma Schlinger (1927-2023), saw the Kennedy motorcade alongside her daughter on November 22, 1963. Norma Schlinger participated in a fifty-five-minute video oral history with the Dallas Jewish Historical Society in 2010, reflecting on the Dallas Jewish community.
