When the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin invited me to participate in a public program to mark the 40th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination in November 2003, I immediately recommended Mr. Carr also be included in the event.  Less than three months before his death at age 85, Carr delivered a wonderful lecture about the day of the shooting and later working with the Warren Commission. Following the program, I had the chance to chat with him for a few minutes, and we talked of possibly recording an updated oral history for the Museum's archives sometime in 2004.
