His right arm is folded across his chest and his left arm is partially extended forward. He appears to be speaking. His gaze is directed toward something out of the frame on the left side of the image.  He is wearing a white dress shirt, dark suit jacket and a striped tie.  His watch can be seen on his left wrist.\r\n\r\nThere are at least two men behind Senator Yarbrough; the man seen over his left shoulder (on the right side of the image) is wearing glasses. \r\n\r\nA building with windows can be seen in the background.\r\n\r\nThe Dallas Morning News photographers recounted where they were throughout the day on November 22, 1963, and some also related their locations in the following days and months when they were photographing events related to the assassination  (such as Lee Harvey Oswald\u2019s transfer or the Jack Ruby Trial).  Their descriptions can be found in the Belo Collection at SMU; The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza's reading room has copies of these accounts available upon request. In cases where the specific photographer who took an image is not known, the potential photographers can be narrowed down to those who said they were at the image\u2019s location.  For this image, Tom Dillard, Clint Grant, Joe Laird and Bill Winfrey are the photographers who were present when the photograph was taken.\r\n\r\nIn his account, Clint Grant specifically listed seeing Senator Yarbrough and the hearse at Parkland, both of which appear in this image's negative strip. As leader of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, he was politically at odds with both Vice President Johnson and Governor Connally by 1963. However, he was a key part of President Kennedy's Texas trip as the president tried to mend political fences among Texas Democrats and shore up support for his re-election campaign in 1964. Yarborough is seen in solemn, sometimes tearful conversation with journalists and dignitaries in numerous photographs taken outside of the emergency entrance to Parkland Memorial Hospital following the assassination. In his Warren Commission affidavit from July 10, 1964, Yarborough stated: \"On arrival at the hospital, I told newsmen that three rifle shots had been fired. There was then no doubt in my mind that the shots were rifle shots, and I had neither then or now any doubts that any other shots were fired.
