The image was taken by a photographer at The Dallas Morning News.

The photograph shows two men, both wearing suits and glasses, sitting in the front seat of a car. The car's driver's side door is open. The man sitting in the driver's seat is wearing a suit that is darker in color than the man in the passenger's seat. The photographer is standing beside the open door, probably crouching to photograph the men at their eye level.

The man in the driver's seat is holding some papers or an open notebook that are propped up against the steering wheel. The man in the passenger's seat is holding a radio telephone in his right hand.

Both men wear expressions of intense concentration.

Other vehicles can be seen through the windows of the car the men are sitting in.

This image appears to have been taken at the same time as negative number 1994.003.0014.0001. In that negative's record, the men were described as possible reporters at Parkland Hospital and their radio was identified as a telephone radio.

The Dallas Morning News photographers recounted where they were throughout the day on November 22, 1963, and some also related their locations in the following days and months when they were photographing events related to the assassination (such as Lee Harvey Oswald’s transfer or the Jack Ruby Trial). Their descriptions can be found in the Belo Collection at SMU; The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza's reading room has copies of these accounts available upon request. In cases where the specific photographer who took an image is not known, the potential photographers can be narrowed down to those who said they were at the image’s location. For this image, Tom Dillard, Clint Grant, Joe Laird and Bill Winfrey are the photographers who were present when the photograph was taken.</value></field><field label="Classifications" name="classification"><value>Photographs</value></field><field label="Id" name="id"><value>65540</value></field><field label="Width" name="width"><value>5.6000000000</value></field><field label="Height" name="height"><value>5.6000000000</value></field><field label="Source ID" name="sourceId"><value>11896</value></field><field label="Object" name="culture"><value>Negative (b&w)</value></field><field label="Depth" name="depth"><value>0E-10</value></field><field label="Description" name="labelText"><value>Original black and white negative by a Dallas Morning News photographer.
