DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Glen D. King. Chief of Police for Dallas from 1979 to 1982, King was a captain with the Dallas Police Department in 1963. In the aftermath of the assassination, he coordinated media relations and served as an administrative aide to Chief Jesse Curry. King testified to the Warren Commission in 1964. Interview recorded at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 2, 1996 by Wes Wise and Bob Porter. The interview is forty-nine minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Glen Doyle King joined the Dallas Police Department as an officer in 1948 and retired thirty-four years later as the chief of police. He passed away on November 20, 2000. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
