DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Blanche Connally Kline. The sister of former Texas Governor John B. Connally, Kline was at the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon awaiting the arrival of her brother and President Kennedy when the assassination took place. Interview recorded at Ms. Kline's home on February 7, 1998 by Bob Porter. The interview is forty-eight minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
In 2003, Ms. Kline donated to the Museum the stenciled "Office of the Governor" cardboard sign that was hung outside of Governor Connally's room at Parkland Memorial Hospital during his recovery (2003.055.0001). She passed away on February 12, 2014. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
