DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Rev. Wilfred Bailey. As minister of Casa View Methodist Church in Dallas during the 1960s, Bailey was an active leader in community affairs and civil rights. He attended the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon on November 22, 1963. Interview conducted at Rev. Bailey's home on October 15, 1999 by Bob Porter. The interview is one hour and twenty minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
Rev. Bailey passed away on July 7, 2006. Four years later a collection of his sermons was independently published under the title, Reclaiming the Faith: Sermons by a Liberal Christian (2010). The collection was edited by Bailey's friend and former church member, Dallas psychologist Carlos Davis, Jr. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
