Page two has "Department of State" printed in all caps centered at the top of the page with the text "Division of Protocol" separated beneath it by a short horizontal line. Handwritten in cursive near the lower right corner of the page is the text "Original in State Dept. files". In the middle of the page is a hand drawn and handwritten mock-up of the invitation to President Warren G. Harding's funeral. The mock-up shows a border around the perimeter that was only partially filled in at the upper left corner, likely to indicate a black border all the way around. The handwritten text centered in the middle of the invitation mock-up is as follows:

Late President of the United States
August Eighth Nineteen Hundred and Twenty-three
At Eleven O'Clock, A.M.
Admit to the Rotunda of the United
States Capitol".
Under the lower left corner of the mock-up is text handwritten in cursive:

The reverse of each page has one word - "Gavaert" - printed repeatedly diagonally across the page like a watermark.
Both pages have three holes along the left side of the paper. Paper is brown, stained and discolored in several places, and has rusted paperclip marks and paperclip indentations in the upper left corner.
