The photograph was taken by The Dallas Morning News\u2019 Chief Photographer, Tom C. Dillard.\r\n\r\nThe photograph was taken from the front of the courtroom on the side with the defendant\u2019s table looking out on the room at an angle. The photographer was behind the end of the judge's bench; part of the bench's counter and a purse sitting on it are visible.\r\n\r\nBoth the defendant and prosecutor's tables are visible, but the defendant\u2019s table is closer to the photographer. There are three men sitting at the defendant\u2019s table: two on the long side and the third on the end. There are several men standing behind the defendant's table; Jack Ruby appears in the group with the side of his face toward the camera.\r\n\r\nDistrict Attorney Henry Wade is standing at the prosecutor's table.\r\n\r\nMultiple people can be seen sitting in the audience.\r\n\r\nThe details in this photograph are not very sharp. They color also seems faded, and in the lower right quadrant there is a gray fuzziness that dims the image.\r\n\r\nThe photograph has a white border.\r\n\r\nOn the back, in the lower right corner two purple rubber stamps have been applied. One reads, \"PHOTO BY TOM C. DILLARD.\" The second has a rectangular border in which is printed, \"DALLAS MORNING NEWS, APR 13 1964, NEWS STAFF PHOTO.\""},"medium":{"label":"Medium","value":"Paper, Photo"},"onview":{"label":"On View","value":"0"},"media":{"label":"Media","value":[{"mediaURL":"https://emuseum.jfk.org/internal/media/dispatcher/24703/full","displayOrder":"0","mediaType":"Image","mediaId":"24703"}]},"title":{"label":"Title","value":"Photo of the District Courtroom No. 3 during the Jack Ruby trial"},"classification":{"label":"Classifications","value":"Photographs"},"primaryMedia":{"label":"PrimaryMedia","value":"/internal/media/dispatcher/24703/full"},"thesconcepts":{"label":"Terms","value":["Jack Ruby trial","Photographer","Photographs","Attorney","Trials","Ruby, Jack","Wade, Henry M.","Dillard, Tom C.","Alexander, William F.","Burleson, Phil","The Dallas Morning News","Dallas County Criminal Courts Building","Dallas"]},"culture":{"label":"Object","value":"Photograph (b&w)"},"displayDate":{"label":"Date","value":"January 1964 - February 1964"},"width":{"label":"Width","value":["25.4000000000"]},"id":{"label":"Id","value":"64073"},"dimensions":{"label":"Dimensions","value":"8 x 10 in.
