All text and graphics are printed in black against a white ground; image is printed in grayscale. 

Front of the album has the words "IN MEMORY" printed in upper left corner followed by a graphic that is made up of three narrow horizontal bands of intertwined lines; opposite top corner has price printed inside a circle - "$4.95". The text "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr." is printed below center and above a large photographic portrait of Dr. King. Image is set inside a white and black bordered square. On either side of Dr. King's portrait are two asymmetrical Christian crosses. Centered beneath the box with Dr. King's portrait is the title of the speech "'The American Dream'". Along the lower edge of the front of the album is the following text: "His Immortal Address [large space] Delivered Syracuse University".

Reverse of the album has two vertical black lines that are spaced so as to divide the album cover into thirds. In the center between the two lines, is the follow text:

for justice and first-class citizenship goes on.

'If we are to gain justice and freedom in 
America, it will not be a victory for eighteen
million Negroes. It will be a Victory for Democ-
racy! It will be The American Dream. God is
on the side of justice.'"
