A broadcaster with Dallas radio station KBOX in 1963, King went live on the air moments after the Kennedy assassination.  Fired that evening from the station, he spent the weekend working for United Press International and witnessed the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald. The following year, King covered the Jack Ruby trial. 

Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on October 2, 2003 by Stephen Fagin.
