A Dallas County deputy sheriff in 1963, Boone observed the Kennedy motorcade on Main Street and searched the Dealey Plaza rail yards immediately after the assassination. Less than one hour after the shooting, he discovered a rifle on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. Prior to joining the sheriff's department, Boone worked at the Dallas Times Herald and knew Jack Ruby. \r\n\r\nInterview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on November 25, 2003 by Stephen Fagin. After this 2003 oral history, Boone became a good friend of The Sixth Floor Museum.
