Howard and her husband, the late Dr. Herbert R. Howard, observed the Kennedy motorcade on Lemmon Avenue before proceeding to the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon. Dr. Howard held a special prayer service on Saturday, November 23, at the Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas and then delivered a powerful sermon on Sunday. Both services were recorded and later donated to The Sixth Floor Museum. 

Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on January 22, 2004 by Stephen Fagin.
