Carol Tate Oral History
Carol Tate's late mother, the legendary Dallas journalist Vivian Castleberry, was a longtime friend of The Sixth Floor Museum. The Museum's Vivian Castleberry Collection (1991.002) includes her reporter's notebook from November 22, 1963 (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/4467) as well as her 1964 subpoena for the Jack Ruby trial (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/4473), among other artifacts. In addition, Vivian was a frequent oral history and program guest at the Museum, recording three oral histories and three programs between 1991 and 2015.
