A reporter for Dallas CBS affiliate KRLD-TV in 1963, Ceverha was on vacation in Chicago at the time of the Kennedy assassination. In 1964, he covered the Jack Ruby trial for KRLD-TV and Westinghouse Broadcasting. Ceverha later became active in politics and served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1979 to 1989.

Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on May 2, 2005 by Stephen Fagin.
