DescriptionAudio oral history interview with Rabbi Hillel Silverman. Silverman led Congregation Shearith Israel in Dallas during the 1950s and 1960s. He first met Jack Ruby in 1958 following the death of Ruby's father. The rabbi visited Ruby frequently during his incarceration both before and after his 1964 trial. Interview conducted by telephone on June 28, 2006 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-nine minutes long.
