DescriptionVideotaped oral history with Dr. Kenneth Salyer. An internationally recognized pioneer in craniofacial surgery, Salyer is the founding chairman and director of the International Craniofacial Institute at Medical City Dallas Hospital. In 1963 Salyer was a first-year surgical resident at Parkland Memorial Hospital and participated in the treatment of President Kennedy in Trauma Room One. His personal memories of the president's head wound do not correspond with subsequently published autopsy photographs. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on April 11, 2008 by Stephen Fagin, Associate Curator. The interview is one hour and seventeen minutes long.
