On the same day as this 2008 oral history, Heikes participated in a public program at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. He returned to the Museum in 2014 for a reunion program with fellow Dallas Times Herald photographers Bob Jackson, Eamon Kennedy and William Allen.
