DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Carroll Brown. As a student at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, Brown became an early civil rights activist in Dallas by organizing a 1960 drugstore sit-in. Brown, one of few white activists in the city at the time, played a prominent role in local civil rights protests from 1960 to 1967.
Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on August 6, 2008 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is one hour and thirty minutes long.
