Text of the wire copy is as follows: Ratification of the 23rd amendment to the Constitution giving residents of the District of Columbia the right to vote in national elections... Adoption of a 600 (M) million dollar aid program for Latin America and creation of the Alliance for Progress. The youthful looking Kennedy was boyishly handsome and he carried a slim 175 pounds on his six-foot frame, topped by a shock of unruly chestnut hair. He was a dcorated Navy veteran of the Second World War in which he commanded a P-T boat. The jury deliberated nearly four hours before returning its verdict. The State had charged Sutcliffe, who is 40, poisoned his wife with wood alcohol after learning she was having a romance with another man. He took the stand in his own defense to deny it. Curatorial Commentary
KNER-FM was a student-run radio station based in Richardson, Texas. It was established in 1955 and played primarily soft rock tunes with Southern Baptist-oriented religious programs. It was owned by Buckner Baptist Benevolences (which developed out of Buckner Orphans Home and is now an arm of Buckner Children and Family Services Dallas). It originally broadcast Sunday through Friday and was based out of the Chapel building on Buckner Blvd. in an old choir rehearsal room.
