Curatorial Commentary

This northwest corner of the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository was one of two evidentiary areas that was recreated, based on Dallas Police Department crime scene photographs, to its appearance on November 22, 1963 for The Sixth Floor Exhibit that opened in February 1989.

At 1:12PM on November 22, 1963, investigators with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department found a rifle in this area, just ten minutes after officials found rifle shells behind barricade of boxes in the southeast corner of the sixth floor. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
