Nash wrote this card to his sisters in Dallas and refers to the world-wide reaction to the assassination of President Kennedy. \r\n\r\nThe front of the card shows Nepalese buildings or temples and a statue of a guard animal. \r\n\r\nInside text reads as follows (transcription preserves the author's spelling and syntax):\r\n\r\nDec. 7, '63\r\nDear Nita, Pat & Connie, \r\n\r\n Yes, your little brother is in one piece and still with his right arm. I have gotten awful lazy when it comes to writting letters. I hope all of you are getting along allright. I know that the President's death must really be felt there, it sure is here in about the most remote place in the world.\r\n Kathmandu is really beautiful now. The sky is crystal clear and you can see the whole Panorama of snow-covered mountains that incircles the valley. I wish all of you could see it, I think you would agree with me that this is the most scenic place for natural beauty.\r\n Where are you all planning on spending Christmas? It sure doesn't seem like it should be this time of year again. It seems like only yesterday that I left the states. It has sure been a fast and hectic year for me. I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year where ever your at. I'll try to write again soon and also a little longer letter.
