DescriptionBlack and white undated photograph of an FBI agent holding a rifle, reenacting the stance of Lee Harvey Oswald in the famous image showing him holding a rifle in his back yard. The man in this image is holding a rifle in his left hand and holds his right hand in a fist close to his chest. His face has been removed from the photo. The man is standing on a concrete block surface with a metal fence behind him on the roof of FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C. This photograph documents the scrutiny to which FBI agents subjected the Oswald photograph, including recreating it in order to establish its authenticity. This copy of a photograph was part of FBI Special Agent Lyndal Shaneyfelt's Kennedy assassination file; Shaneyfelt assisted in the FBI investigations of the assassination conducted on behalf of the Warren Commission in 1964.
