He also recorded a one-on-one oral history interview on April 17, 2003.  His wife, Virginia Gatlin, recorded her own oral history interview on June 17, 2008. \r\n\r\nDelivered with a commanding presence and booming baritone, Mr. Gatlin's vivid impressions of the Kennedy motorcade on Main Street are among the most interesting and moving ever captured in the Oral History Collection.
