DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with John N. Leedom. A former Texas state senator (1981-1996) and Dallas city councilman (1974-1980), Leedom was Dallas County chairman of the Republican Party in 1963. He was among the political leaders who publicly urged Dallasites to greet President Kennedy with respect during his visit. Interview conducted at Mr. Leedom's home on July 16, 2010 by Associate Curator Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty minutes long.
