Image of the Kennedys at Love Field

The U.S. Secret Service agent directly behind Mrs. Kennedy is Clint Hill who would later jump onto the back of the presidential limousine during the assassination.  In the left rear of this photograph, the balding man with his hands behind his back is American Airlines executive Walter Henry Hagan, who served as the celebrity greeter for Dallas Love Field at the time. Standing to the right of Mr. Hagan, reaching into his suit jacket, is Assistant White House Press Secretary Malcolm Kilduff, who would later officially announce the death of President Kennedy to reporters at Parkland Memorial Hospital. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
