DescriptionWollensak 73 three-lens turret 8mm camera with original cardboard box, owned by Gordon Arnold.
According to Gordon Arnold, he had this camera with him in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963, and filmed a portion of the Kennedy assassination while standing near the stockade fence on the grassy knoll.
Arnold reported that he fell to the ground during the shooting, and then was threatened by a man wearing a Dallas police officer's uniform who confiscated the film in this camera.
Curatorial CommentaryIn "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" series, which was his only TV appearance, Arnold said the camera belonged to his mother at the time of the Kennedy assassination. - Gary Mack, Curator
