DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with J. Walter Coughlin. A U.S. Secret Service agent from 1961 to 1977, Coughlin served on the details of Presidents Kennedy and Johnson and Vice President Hubert Humphrey. He was part of the advance team for San Antonio on President Kennedy's trip to Texas. In 1973, Coughlin became the agent-in-charge of the Dallas field office. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 18, 2011 by Associate Curator Stephen Fagin. The interview is fifty-six minutes long.
