Rayburn, who was being treated for cancer, died just over a month later on November 16, 1961. Interestingly, in addition to David Linville, another individual who saw President Kennedy at Baylor Hospital that day was Dr. Robert McClelland. And just like Linville, who observed the Kennedy motorcade two years later on November 22, 1963, Dr. McClelland also saw the president again that day.
