DescriptionOne black and white positive print of a 35mm negative taken by Dallas Times Herald photographer William Allen, taken from a contact sheet. This image shows Dallas Police Lieutenant J.C. "Carl" Day leaving the Texas School Book Depository, walking across Houston Street toward the Dal-Tex Building, carrying the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle that was found on the sixth floor of the Book Depository on November 22, 1963.
