DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image shows a hearse from Oneal Funeral Home, carrying the body of President Kennedy, leaving Parkland Hospital with a police motorcycle escort en route to Love Field on November 22, 1963.
This image has a double exposure, showing some of the image that was next on the negative strip (1989.100.0014.0003). Such double exposures were often caused by mechanical difficulties advancing film through the camera.
The images on this negative strip were taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. There were three photographers at Parkland Hospital that day: John Mazziotta, Bob Jackson and Eamon Kennedy. It is unknown which of the three took these pictures.
