The play recreated the actual shooting sequence in a unique way, with the actors performing in slow-motion to evoke the replays shown repeatedly on television after the incident. \r\n\r\nDespite its relatively short run at the Dallas Theater Center, the play attracted national attention.  Walter Cronkite did a feature on the play on the CBS Evening News on May 14, 1974.
