DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by a Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. This image is a camera misfire which appears to show an aerial perspective of the Trade Mart floor, a table, and some feet. Photographers would sometimes snap a photo of nothing in particular just to make sure that the film was advancing through the camera properly. It is not known whether this misfire was deliberate or accidental. Because this shot is one of the first pictures on the roll, it seems more likely to have been a deliberate misfire. The images on this negative strip were likely taken by one of two Dallas Times Herald staff photographers at the Dallas Trade Mart that day: Bill Beal or Bob Jackson. It is unknown which of the two men took these pictures.
