DescriptionFormal invitation to the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon honoring President Kennedy on November 22, 1963, addressed in handwritten calligraphy to the spouse of Dallas Times Herald reporter Keith Shelton (Mrs. Deborah Evans Shelton).
Curatorial Commentary
The Museum's Keith Shelton Collection (1998.023) includes the notebook that Shelton used while covering the Kennedys' visit to Texas in November 1963, as well as press credentials, his wife's invitation to the Dallas Trade Mart luncheon, draft stories, news clippings and press releases. Keith Shelton passed away on December 11, 2024. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
