DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Bonnie Fisher. Fisher and her mother saw President Kennedy speak in front of the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth on the morning of November 22, 1963. The shock of the assassination inspired in her a lifelong interest in the Kennedy family. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on September 20, 2012 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is forty-one minutes long.
Curatorial Commentary
In addition to Bonnie Fisher, the Museum has interviewed a number of people who saw President Kennedy speak in the parking lot of the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth on November 22, 1963. Others include Bettye Baccus (Bettye Baccus Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza), Dr. Robert Breen (Dr. Robert Breen Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza), and Olivia Duke (Olivia Duke Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza). Perhaps the most famous Hotel Texas parking lot spectator that day was eight-year-old Bill Paxton, who went on to have a successful career in Hollywood, starring in films such as Titanic, Twister and Apollo 13. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
