All of the panelists featured here recorded one or more one-on-one oral histories with the Museum. As of spring 2024, Bob Jackson is the only panelist still living.

Jim Leavelle participated in a number of interviews and programs at the Museum over the years, including a two-hour oral history in 2002 (James Leavelle Oral History – Works – The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza (jfk.org)), a 2007 program with KRLD-TV news director Eddie Barker (A Conversation with Jim Leavelle and Eddie Barker (youtube.com)) and a 2008 Living History public program (Living History with James "Jim" Leavelle (youtube.com)). He passed away on August 29, 2019 at the age of 99.

He also participated in a record thirteen Museum public and educational programs over the years, including multiple panel discussions with the co-authors of his 2004 book, When the News Went Live. Fred Rheinstein recorded oral histories with the Museum in 2010 and 2012. He passed away on December 22, 2013.

Gloria Campos, the first Hispanic permanent anchor of a weekday Dallas/Fort Worth news broadcast, retired from WFAA-TV in 2014 after a thirty-year career. In addition to moderating this 2012 panel discussion, she narrated a 2005 video, "Covering Chaos," as part of a special exhibit at The Sixth Floor Museum that explored media coverage of the Kennedy assassination.
