DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Allen Friday afternoon after the assassination - between 12:30 and 1 p.m. This image shows a Dallas Fire Department fire engine in the intersection of Elm and Houston streets. Police officers and cars and men wearing fire department coats and hats fill the intersection. Crowds can be seen on the sidewalks and people also lean out of office windows in the Dal-Tex Building.
