DescriptionVideotaped oral history interview with Dr. Lee Alvoid. An associate professor at Southern Methodist University from 2001 to 2015, Alvoid was co-editor of her high school newspaper in San Antonio in 1963. She briefly met President and Mrs. Kennedy, and attended a student press conference with the president, during the Kennedys' visit to San Antonio on November 21, 1963. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on February 6, 2013 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is thirty-one minutes long.

Prior to joining the faculty of Southern Methodist University in 2001, Dr. Alvoid spent the first thirty-two years of her career as a teacher and principal in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch school district in Texas. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
