This sign was recovered by Dallas County after their purchase of the former Texas School Book Depository building in 1977.SignDallas CountyDallas County Historical FoundationTexas School Book DepositoryDallasAccording to Buell Wesley Frazier, who was employed as an order filler at the Texas School Book Depository in 1963, this sign was likely at or near the "Will Call" counter on the ground floor. The counter, with a swinging half door and small bell for service, was located just inside the second set of glass doors beyond the main entrance to the building.
