DescriptionOriginal 35mm black and white negative taken by an unidentified Dallas Times Herald staff photographer. The image shows an unidentified Dallas Police detective with the materials necessary to conduct a paraffin test at the Dallas Police Department on the evening of November 22, 1963. The test would help determine if suspect Lee Harvey Oswald had gunpowder residue on his person. Darryl Heikes and another, unidentified, Dallas Times Herald photographer attended the midnight press showing. It is not known which of the two photographers took this picture.
