This slide is the fourth in a series of 5 slides of the presidential motorcade in Dallas. Each slide shows the limousine with President John F. Kennedy at different distances as it approaches and passes the photographer. This slide shows a closer view of the presidential limousine from its passenger side. Some people and parked vehicles can be seen on the opposite side of the street. President Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy, Governor Connally and Nellie Connally can all be seen clearly. Also seen are the red roses next to Mrs. Kennedy, and the yellow roses in Mrs. Connally's lap. Secret Service Agents Roy Kellerman and William Greer, in the front seat of the car, are in shadow or obscured by the windshield. The U.S. flag is clearly seen on the front of the limousine.
The mount that holds the film is a Kodak brand. One side reads: "Kodakcolor / TRANSPARENCY"; "MADE BY / [Kodak logo]." The reverse side reads: "MADE IN U.S.A."
All slides are severely faded, and images have been color corrected. Attached are scans of the original slide within the cardboard mount, the original film slide, and the color corrected version of the image. (LC 5/8/2014)

This slide is the fourth in a series of five slides of the presidential motorcade in Dallas. Each slide shows President John F. Kennedy in his limousine as the car approaches and passes the photographer. In this slide, the presidential limousine is directly in front of the photographer and most of the party is facing the camera. President and Mrs. Kennedy and Governor and Mrs. Connally can all be seen clearly. The red and yellow roses held by the ladies are also visible. Secret Service Agents Roy Kellerman and William Greer, in the front seat of the car, are in shadow or obscured by the windshield.

For many years the photographer was unknown, but in 2012, Jack Titus's daughter, Sally Dobbie, came forward and recorded an oral history explaining that her late father, Jack A. Titus, photographed the motorcade from the roof of his office building on Cedar Springs Road. In 2012, the Titus family donated these slides to the Museum. - Stephen Fagin, Associate Curator
