The images were taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Beal. The images are of the downtown Dallas area on the night of November 22, 1963.

Section 1 contains six images (# 4-9), four images of an unidentified man walking on Commerce Street in the evening of November 22, 1963 with a newspaper announcing the death of President Kennedy, one image of the 1400 block of Commerce Street on the evening of November 22, 1963, and one image of Commerce Street near the Zoo Bar on the evening of November 22, 1963. 

Section 2 contains six images labeled (#10-15), three images of Commerce Street in downtown Dallas at the location of the Zoo Bar, two images of an unidentified downtown Dallas street, and one image of a group of unidentified pedestrians in front of a cafeteria on a downtown Dallas street the evening of November 22, 1963.
